(from July 2012 to July 2013)
Netanel Gilad

Elisha Shlomo

Zohar Michal

This orange sapling is decked out in its best finery... even before we plant it...
...and I'm also decked out in my best finery, practicing how to water it!

Showing mummy the choveret I made...
...working hard to clean the floor (sort of)...
...in mid-air, trying to fly to England!

Celebrating my eighth birthday with... a mallawach?...
...then a joint effort getting the challa dough ready!
...I bet they think I'm going to clear all this mess up!

Why are so many grandchildren running around in the front garden?
...and why has baby Nava come all the way from Tel Aviv?
...Because it's Zeide's surprise 75th birthday party!

Why all the excitement and guests at Zohar's gan?
Because after Mesibat Siyyum and haircuts... it's time for Zohar's birthday party!

Natty graduates Kita Alef and gets his Bet-3 cap at the party in the tennis centre...
...while Eli is setting up the lighting for the big wedding where...
...Zohar gets to marry and dance with her graduate!

As Saba and Savta celebrate 50 years together, we celebrate... the end of Kita Alef, and prizes for the swimming gala...
...the end of Gan Chova - with a crown on my head and ready for the big world of Kita Alef...
...meanwhile, Zohar gets to watch... and wait for her turn!

First, we ask cousin Benjy to bring the box into the lounge...
...then I get to play with the contents and watch it attempt to clean the floor...
...and finally, Benjy gets to carry a girl off her feet!

I'm off to my first school Tiyyul (and last day with all my milk teeth)...
...first having practiced life outdoors with Eli and Zohar... and sent daddy off to France on his own 'Tiyyul'!

As it heats up, a great way to cool down is to climb into the pool with a good buddy... like this.
...but if you are on your own, simply place water-filled potty onto your head... like this!

Tension mounts at the Eurovision... as Israel prepares to take to the stage...
...with the camera crew getting in on the party spirit...
...but Zohar knows that when it's all over, they'll want to rest (and weep) backstage!

Playing with water in the bath, far, far away from...
...Eli playing with electricity (finally not the 220V type)

The "Mesibat Haviv" on Lag Ba'omer was a great success...
...the "Promote recycling" campaign somewhat less so...
...and I'm really not sure I was ready for "Wedding day"!

Lag Ba'omer holiday and outside activities! Making Pita at at the Alef-3 bonfire...
...lots of time to ride the bike which we've nearly outgrown...
...and an opportunity to show off our rock-climbing skills!

Yom Ha'atzmaut 65. We play while the adults are eating meat...
...then, when the BBQ is finally available...
...its our turn with marshmallows!

Serious at the school tekes for Yom Hazikaron...
...but don't worry, soon we'll be horsing around outside ...
...and then serious horsing around inside!

Happy Pesach memories exploring Givat Hatachmoshet...
...finding something older than Savta and Saba at the Bible Lands museum...
...or just having real quality time with the UK branch of the family!

Last push before the big night... check the karpas...
...burn the chametz...
...and who else but the balabusta to shell the eggs?

Last day of all being together in Keytana ... clean car... no chametz allowed (but we can still make a mess with plants)!
...Talking of clean cars... tell Obama he'll have to walk! ... this Limo is reserved for Savta Lilo and her entourage!
Pesach preparations... adding a new shelving unit. Favourite things stay on the bottom shelf...
...watering the new flowers we planted...
...and cleaning the bath so it looks like new???

One final try out of our Purim costumes (watch out for Dochot!)... before the Pesach cleaning starts for real

Watching for cousin Noam in the 2013 Jerusalem marathon with Auntie Brenda - might this be her last week in the hood?

Dressing up for Purim... so many costumes to choose from! Natty was also a king, Zohar a fairy, and Elisha a policeman giving out Dochot!

Helping out by introducing Rav Noam at the Mesibat Siddur
...something else precious... we're helping look after this baby
Trying on a soldier's beret for my Siddur ceremony...
...and Elisha trains the auxiliary camera team...
...meanwhile... "you're a pickle" ... "no! you're a pickle" argument!

Finally we get the Chanukah presents we wanted after sending Daddy to America to get them...
...But I wanted a sofabed! Guess I'll just make my own!

Daddy's off in the US and can't vote. Now, has mummy been leading us to the left end of the political spectrum, or training us (Israeli style) how to make unwanted parties' slips disappear?

Best wishes to Ahinoam for the big day!

First practice in the front garden... and then hit the main road for the real thing!

First act, the boys do cabaret...
...then (with the aid of false pigtails), we can have a girls' act!
When it rains, Zohar can't decide whether to play outside with Natty...
...or come in and spend some quality time with Elisha...
...by the end of the day, she's a total basket case!

In Netanya, erev Shabbat, daddy swings the boys...
... then Zohar takes over to show us how it's meant to be done!

Chanukah activities... helping spend our Chanukah Gelt (thanks!)
...lighting candles (carefully)...
...and helping to 'clean up' the kitchen (the tasty way!)

After a lovely weekend in Ra'anana, we got Zohar's nails ready...
... and together we looked forward to...
...multiple Chanukah parties (even before Chanukah started)!

While us boys are just hanging around together outside...
... the BalaBusta is cracking on with Challa!

Typical week in Israel... hanging out at the zoo...
...saying "Ya Boo Sucks" to anyone lobbing missiles at us...
...and celebrating Ahinoam's engagement!

It's...
...raining...
...Ffufs? ... Halleluyah!

Red carpet treatement for us at the King David Hotel

First, I showed Debra that I'm ready to drive her hire car (my brother showed her how the keypad prevents theft....
...Alon and I had the first birthday of the year in gan, and showed the others how its done...
...when my turn came, I showed Saba and Savta about reading (they need individual tutoring, it seems!)

Same location, 10 years on. The plants have grown, and there are a few other changes

We might look like twins, but we're not...
...same applies here!
You've heard of finger painting... well, this is Feet Markering!

Ushpizin introducing Aviya to the toys....
...Building Lego with Keren...
...and making more paper decorations with Meira!

"Succot is on the way! ... Patish! ... Masmer! ...
... and power tools!

"Go into the shower tand have a good scrub", you said. You didn't say anything about having to clean ourselves!

Shana Tova, this year we typed and coloured our own signs!

A final get-together for the class of 2011/2012!

First day for all of us at our new school and ganim

Here we are, Shalom Kita Alef!....
...with a dance routine for Elisha...
...with me on the bin and chair drums!

More summer activities... painting in the garden...
...and going round the zoo on a train!
Preparing a marinade for the chicken... and the hair bands!
...then everyone comes over to help eat!
A trip to the zoo... with each other to play with, who needs animals?

With Gan and Keytana coming to an end, we can start letting our hair down!

Select year.
